Chiral recognition of tartaric acid derivatives by a synthetic receptor

Abstract

A synthetic receptor containing two acylaminopyridine groups linked through a R-(–)-binaphthyl spacer has been prepared and shown to bind to the two enantiomeric forms of diacyl tartaric acids by two very different geometries.
