Some unusual hydrogen shifts in organo–rhodium complexes formed from diazoalkanes

Abstract

The products obtained from reactions of Rh2Cp2(µ-CO)(µ-CF3C2CF3) with the diazoalkanes N2CMe2 and N2C5H4 include the compounds 3b and 4 formed by N2 elimination and 1,4- or 1,2-H shifts; the structure of compound 3b has been determined by X-ray crystallography.
