The first nitrogen NMR spectroscopic study of nitrile imides (nitrilimines)

Abstract

14 N NMR spectroscopy provides a powerful tool to distinguish easily nitrile imides from the isomeric diazo compounds; the chemical shift variations of the Nα resonance reflect the electronic interaction between the substituents and the nitrile imide skeleton (–CNαNβ–).
