Selenium sulphur dihalides, SeSX2(X = Br, Cl); a Raman and 77Se NMR spectroscopic study

Abstract

Mixtures of S2Cl2 with Se2X2(X = Br, Cl) yield dichalcogen dihalides with mixed chalcogens, ClSeSCl, BrSeSCl, ClSeSBr and BrSeSBr, which have been shown by 77Se NMR and Raman spectroscopy to have chain structures.
