Structure and conformation of a phenyloxazolone derivative used in studies of antibodies, determined using 1H NMR and measurement of long-range (13C, 1H) coupling constants

Abstract

A phenyloxazolone derivative commonly used in studies of antibody–antigen interactions has been shown to exist as a mixture of species in solution, the structures of which were assigned by measuring long range (13C, 1H)J couplings using a novel technique; the significance of these results for immunological studies is discussed.
