Faraday communications. Ultraviolet photodissociation of Ar +2 and Ar +3

Abstract

Photofragment kinetic-energy spectra have been measured for Ar+2 and Ar+3 following excitation at 308 nm. The spectrum for Ar+3 consists of two components, and it is proposed that these arise from excitation to two separate electronic states.
