A new kinetic approach for multi-route systems: a generalisation of the rate-determining step approximation

Abstract

Complex chemical systems are dealt with, for which the number of reaction routes is identical with the number of rate-determining steps. The classical approximation of the rate-determining step is extended for such systems leading to simple rate equations and allowing the generalisation of the Horiuti and Boreskov relationships.
