Terminal arsenido palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes. X-Ray crystal structure of [{N(CH2CH2PPh2)3}PtAsPh2]BPh4
Abstract
The Pd0 three-coordinate (np3)Pd, [np3= N(CH2CH2PPh2)3], and the Pt0 pseudotetrahedral (np3)Pt(PPh3) complexes react with R2AsX (R = Me, X = I; R = Ph, X = Cl) and NaBPh4 to give [(np3)MAsR2]BPh4, the first examples of terminal arsenides of platinum metals; the molecular structure of {[N(CH2CH2PPh2)3]PtAsPh2}BPh4 has been established by single-crystal diffraction methods.
