Intramolecular 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of a nitrone derived from 3-O-allyl-D-(+)-glucose: an expedient synthesis of a chiral oxepane derivative

Abstract

The intramolecular 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of the N-benzylnitrone of 3-O-allyl-D-(+)-glucose yielded a chiral oxepane derivative 2, potentially useful for the synthesis of other chiral systems.
