Closo-[CrPb9(CO)3]4–: a 100 year history of the nonaplumbide tetra-anion

Abstract

The [CrPb9(C0)3]4– anion, which has a bicapped square antiprismatic geometry, is the first structurally characterized example of a Pb9 cluster and is the first transition metal-plumbide cluster.
