Indicators for alkyllithium assay. Nuclear magnetic resonance evidence for the dianion of benzophenonetosylhydrazone

Abstract

Several benzenesulphonyl- and tosylhydrazones have been used for the routine quantitative determination of alkyllithium solutions. The structure of one of the chromophores was determined by nuclear magnetic resonance studies of the derived deuteriated molecule.
