Determination of rhodium by electrothermal atomisation atomic absorption spectrometry after separation on a cellulose anion exchanger

Abstract

Determination of Rh by electrothermal atomisation atomic absorption spectrometry in the presence of heavy metals was investigated. It was shown that the influences of some metal ions on the Rh signal is not simple and hence a separation step, prior to its determination, is necessary. The cellulose anion exchanger Cellex T was shown to be effective for separating Rh from platinum group and other heavy metals.
