Modified model for the prediction of gas temperature in graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry

Abstract

A model capable of predicting the gas temperature in a graphite furnace accurately with respect to time and position in the tube is described. The results obtained with previous models could not be verified because of the lack of accurate gas temperature measurements. After such data had become available our previous model was modified by making specific changes. Results obtained with the modified model are presented.
