The reaction of hexachloronorbornadiene with furan

Abstract

Chemical evidence, supported by an X-ray crystal structure determination, shows that a furan adduct of hexachloronorbornadiene unambiguously belongs to the endoexo series of cycloadducts (typified by aldrin), and not the endoendo series of isomers.
