The thermal decomposition of some allyl methoxyarenesulphinates in boiling acetic acid has been studied. The principal products are the diaryl sulphides together with small amounts of the aryl arenethiosulphonates, diaryl sulphoxides, diaryl sulphones, aromatic hydrocarbons, and, in one case, some of the allyl aryl suiphone.
