SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
Organo-lithium, -magnesium, and -zinc reagents add to α-aminoalkenenitriles in the 1,2-fashion to give α,β-unsaturated ketones, whereas organocuprate, sodium borohydride, sulphide ion, and sulphonestabilised carbanions react in the 1,4-fashion to furnish α-amino nitriles.
