Selective disruption of 1H–1H dipolar connectivities within two-dimensional nuclear overhauser effect spectra by paramagnetic centres
Abstract
A new approach is presented, based on selective disruption of dipolar 1H–1H connectivities within two-dimensional nuclear Overhauser effect (2D NOE) spectra by paramagnetic centres, that allows detection of structural features in paramagnetic complexes. The interaction between MnII and adrenalin is considered. The binding sites within the ligand molecule are easily delineated; moreover, the range of exchange processes that can be handled with the 2D NOE approach is greatly amplified in comparison with methods based on measurement of nuclear paramagnetic rates.
