Gold-197 Mössbauer spectra are reported for previously described complexes of bis(diphenylphosphino)amine (dppa) with gold(I) and gold(II), including those containing perhalogenoaryl ligands. A gold(I+III) complex is reformulated on the basis of its spectrum. The data for all gold(II) complexes are discussed in terms of the bonding and electron configurations.
