The reaction of (CO)5Cr(Pri2NPCl2) with (Me2N)3S+NSO– in acetonitrile produces, in low yield, trans-(CO)5Cr[Pri2NP(NSN)2PNPri2]Cr(CO)5 shown by X-ray crystallography to contain an almost planar P2N4S2 ring.
