Determination of formaldehyde in river water by high-performance liquid chromatography

Abstract

A method is described for the determination of formaldehyde in river water as its 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone using high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection. The method has a detection limit of 5.6 µg l–1.
