Continuous hydride generation in inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry using a dual platinum grid nebuliser system

Abstract

This paper describes a method for improving the sensitivity of the determination of arsenic, antimony and bismuth using the on-line generation of hydrides and aspiration of the resulting reactant mixture via a dual platinum grid nebuliser prior to their determination by ICP-AES. A modified simplex procedure was used to optimise the analytical conditions for all elements studied.
