The confined rotator model with the harmonic potential

Abstract

The confined rotator model with the harmonic form of the constraining potential which has a finite lifetime is used to obtain orientational correlation functions. These functions are compared with corresponding correlation functions from molecular-dynamics simulation. The comparison with results obtained previously for the confined rotator model with a square-well potential is also discussed.
