Standard transition-structure geometries

Abstract

The geometries of a number of recently published transition structures, which have been determined within the molecular orbital framework, have been analysed. The geometries of related transition structures show many similarities. These similarities are reported and they suggest the concept of standard transition-structure bond lengths, bond angles and dihedral angles.
