Kinetic models for the development of density in radiographic film. Visible-light exposure

Abstract

It has previously been shown that the traditional ‘characteristic curve’ is spurious and that simple kinetic models provide a satisfactory fit to data under some conditions. Further observations now show that low-intensity reciprocity failure in radiographic films can be explained by an additional parameter, and that an order of 2 can be used uniformly for such visible-light exposures.
