Electrolytic behaviour of transition metal bromides in acetonitrile solution
Abstract
The molar conductivities for MnBr2, CoBr2, and ZnBr2 in acetonitrile solution have been determined at 25 °C. Unlike perchlorates, the divalent transition metal bromides exhibit a variety of electrolytic behaviour, as shown by their molar conductivity curves. The properties of the solutions are discussed and interpreted in terms of the formation of the complex electrolytes.
