High nuclearity osmium cluster radicals

Abstract

The radical anion species [Os10C(CO)24 and [Os10H4(CO)24 have been prepared by electrochemical and chemical methods (AgBF4–CH2Cl2 or FeCl3–tetrahydrofuran); as expected they are paramagnetic and exhibit strong signals in their e.s.r. spectra.
