Bismuth–cobalt heteronuclear carbonyl cluster compounds. Synthesis and X-ray characterization of the neutral [BiCo3(CO)9] and of the paramagnetic anion [Bi2Co4(CO)11]–
Abstract
Reactions between BiCl3 and the anion [Co(CO)4]– under various conditions afford some new products: the anion [Bi{Co(CO)4}4]–, the neutral tetrahedral cluster [BiCo3(CO)9], and the paramagnetic cluster [Bi2Co4(CO)11]– containing a Bi2Co4 array formed by three face-to-face condensed tetrahedral units.
