Automated simultaneous analysis of anions and monovalent and divalent cations
Abstract
This paper describes an automated simultaneous analysis of the three groups of major ions, anions (SO42–, Cl–), monovalent cations (Na+, K+) and divalent cations (Mg2+, Ca2+). It was shown that this approach is suitable for routine use and is more cost effective than the conventional methods, in which each of these ions has to be analysed separately, using atomic absorption spectrometry, flame photometry and spectrophotometry.
