Comparison of the π*+dδ and π*/f(n2) methods for the evaluation of solvent polarity effect in chemical reactivity

Abstract

π*+dδ and π*/f(n2) formalisms are found to be of nearly the same effectiveness for the evaluation of solvent polarity effects on reaction rates and equilibria.
