Representation of the photographic emulsion calibration graph in emission spectrographic analysis by a simplified formula

Abstract

An algebraic equation that represents the emulsion calibration graph in emission spectrographic analysis has been derived. The final form of this equation is [graphic omitted] where l is the spectral line intensity, k is the transform function of the photometer reading and a, b, d and k0 are constants. This equation not only gives a “best fit” to the experimental data but also only requires simple mathematical operations.
