Preparation and crystal structure of quasi-cylindrical crown ether complexes with dimethyl- and diethyl-thallium(III) perchlorates

Abstract

Complexes of quasi-cylindrical crown ethers with dimethyl- and diethyl-thallium(III) perchlorates have been prepared and their spin–spin coupling constants between the thallium nucleus and protons measured. The molecular structure of [TIMe2(L1)]CIO4{L1= 1,4,7,18,21,24-hexaoxaperhydro[7.7](4a,8a)naphthalenophane} has been determined by X-ray diffraction methods.
