Photoinduced lnsertion of sulphur bridges into a Cr[triple bond, length as m-dash]S[triple bond, length as m-dash]Cr multiple bond, and X-ray crystal structure of (η5-C5H5)2Cr2(µ-S)2(µ-S2)

Abstract

Photoinduced insertion of sulphur ligands into the Cr[triple bond, length as m-dash]S[triple bond, length as m-dash]Cr multiple bond of (η5-C5H5)2Cr2(CO)4S provides a novel route to the new complex (η5-C5H5)2Cr2S4, which has one bidendate µ-S2 and two µ-S bridges symmetrically placed between the (η5-C5H5)Cr moieties.
