Use of tris-(η4-diene)-tungsten and tris-(η4-diene)-molybdenum complexes in preparation of supported catalysts for propene metathesis

Abstract

Highly active supported catalysts for propene metathesis were prepared by the reaction of diene ML3 complexes (M = Mo or W; L = buta-1,3-diene, isoprene, or 2,3-dimethylbuta-1,3-diene) with the OH groups of SiO2 and Al2O3.
