Low temperature electrochemistry of chromium porphyrins: characterization of transient species

Abstract

The chemically reversible reduction of [Cr(TPP)(L)Cl](L =N-methylimidazole or pyridine; TPP = tetraphenylporphyrin) has been observed by low temperature cyclic voltammetry in dichloromethane at ca.–90°C.
