Promotion of methanol synthesis over Cu/ZnO catalysts by doping with caesium

Abstract

The rate of methanol formation from H2/CO synthesis gas over the binary Cu/ZnO catalyst can be greatly increased on doping with caesium without increasing the formation of higher oxygenate products above 1.1 mol%.
