The liquid-helium-temperature luminescence and absorption spectra of Cs2NaTmBr6 together with the luminescence spectra of Cs2NaHoBr6:TmBr3–6 and Cs2NaYBr6:TmBr3–6 have enabled all of the crystal-field energy levels of Tm3+ in TmBr3–6 below and including the 1G4 term to be located.
