Ultrasonic attenuation in aqueous solutions of α-, β- and γ-cyclodextrins

Abstract

Relaxation effects have been observed in aqueous solutions of α-, β- and γ-cyclodextrin and are attributed to a change in the solvation of the cyclodextrin cavity. For γ-cyclodextrin, the effects can be described using a narrow distribution of relaxation times. α-Cyclodextrin also shows another faster relaxation due to the rotation of a glucose structure.
