Some relationships involved in the variation of electrochemical gas-sensor currents with gas-sample flow rates
Abstract
Variations in the current for different types of polarographic electrochemical sensors with gas-sample flow rate have been studied. The relationships involved in the prediction of electrochemical sensor current with gas-sample flow rates are discussed. Results obtained from two different types of working electrode and various cell geometries are compared with theoretical predictions. Experimentally derived values of diffusion coefficients for hydrogen in solution are also compared with published values.
