Tetrachlorobis(tetrahydrofuran)molybdate(III), a new intermediate for the synthesis of molybdenum(III) complexes: preparation and crystal structure

Abstract

The preparation and structure are described of a new molybdenum(III) species, [ MoCl4(thf)2](thf = tetrahydrofuran) which promises to be of value as a starting material for other molybdenum(III) complexes.
