1,3,2λ5-Oxazaphosphinan-4-ones: synthesis and X-ray analysis of a new type of phosphorus-containing heterocycle

Abstract

Reaction of 3-hydroxycarboxylic acid azides with phosphorus(III) reagents yields 3-hydroxyacyl iminophosphoranes or 1,3,2λ5-oxazaphosphinan-4-ones depending upon the nature of the phosphorus reagent.
