Organothallium(III) reagents for specific modification of transfer RNA from Escherichia coli

Abstract

The thiouridine site in transfer RNA from Escherichia colispecifically binds p-tolylthallium(III) bis(trifluoroacetate), providing a new class of organometallic labels in nucleic acid chemistry.
