Rapid oxidative metal insertion into a macrocylic ring from a ‘metal-out’ position and identification of a stable ‘metal-in’ isomer of a NiII–cyclamtetra-acetate complex

Abstract

The previously unknown ‘NiII-in’ complex of cyclamtetra-acetate has been prepared from the ‘NiII-out’ isomer by oxidative intramolecular (out → in) translocation of Ni and subsequent reduction to NiII.
