Synthesis of polymer-supported transition metal catalysts via phosphido linkages: heterogeneous catalysts for the hydrogenation of aromatic compounds under mild conditions

Abstract

A new method of anchoring transition metal species [Rh(COD)(COD = cyclo-octa-1,5-dienel), Pt(COD)Cl etc.] to polymers via phosphido type linkages and their use as arene hydrogenation is described.
