Ground-state diatomic potentials. Part 2.—Van der Waals molecules

Abstract

Potential functions are given for the ground states of 39 van der Waals diatomics, and a few excited states, by fitting the common functional form V(R)=A(1 +a1R+a2R2+a3R3)exp(–a4R)– tanh (RRm/2)(C6R–6+C8R–8+C10R–10), to the best literature data. These potentials have been included in DIATOMS, the SERC database of diatomic potentials.
