Synthesis and crystal structure of [{W(SEt)O(PMe2Ph)}2(µ-S)(µ-SEt)2]

Abstract

Reaction of cis-[W(N2)2(PMe2Ph)4] with EtSH in air leads to the formation of the diamagnetic complex [{W(SEt)O(PMe2Ph)}2(µ-S)(µ-SEt)2] which is shown by X-ray analysis to have a confacial bioctahedral structure with cis-oxo-ligands.
