Dodecacarbonyltriosmium anchored on poly(4-vinylpyridine)

Abstract

Dodecacarbonyltriosmiun reacts with polystyrene cross-linked poly(4-vinylpyridine) to give polymer-anchored cluster derivatives. The solution 1H n.m.r. spectrum of the polymer shows that the major species corresponds to one of the isomers of [Os3(CO)9(NC5H4)(py)](py = pyridine).
