4π+2π Cycloadditions to P-chlorobis (trimethylsilyl)methylenephosphine: new cyclic compounds with a > C[double bond, length half m-dash]P– double bond

Abstract

The reaction of p-chlorobis(trimethylsilyl)methylenephosphine with several 1,3-dipoles and two dienes gives cycloadducts regiospecifically; these will eliminate Me3SiCl at low temperatures if the resulting compound is of an ‘aromatic’ type, leading to new cyclic > C[double bond, length half m-dash]P–double bond derivatives.
