Synthesis of the first example of a metal complex containing a co-ordinated µ3-(η2-⊥) phospha-alkyne ligand. Addition of an Fe2(CO)6 unit to the η2-phospha-alkyne complex [Pt(dppe)(ButCP)]: crystal and molecular structure of [Fe2Pt(dppe)(CO)6(ButCP)](dppe = Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)

Abstract

A new mode of co-ordination for a phospha-alkyne ligand has been established in the complex [Fe2Pt(dppe)(CO)6(ButCP)].
