Coupling of ethylidyne and carnbonyl ligands leading to a µ3η2 bonded propynolate anion induced by one-electron reduction of [Fe3(CO)9(µ3-CO)(µ3CMe)][PPh4]: X-ray crystal structure of [Fe3(CO)9(µ3, µ2-MeC
CO)][PPh4]2
Abstract
The electrochemical one-electron reduction of [Fe3(CO)9(µ3-CO)(µ3CMe)][PPh4] leads to a product containing a µ3,η2 bonded propynolate anion, [Fe3(CO)9(µ3, η2-MeCCO)][PPh4]2.
