A novel hydrogen abstraction from W(η-C5H5)2H2 using molecular oxygen: a new route for the synthesis of W(η-C5H5)2(OCOR)2

Abstract

W(η-C5H5)2(OCOR)2 was prepared directly from W(η-C5H5)2H2 by reaction with the carboxylic acid, RCO2H, in the presence of O2 and was characterized spectroscopically and chemically.
